The Palms 305

Looking for an uncrowded, relaxed day at the beach--this is the place to stay. Like having your own private beach!

The place was beautiful. The only problem was that you guys advertise wireless internet in all condos which is not true.

Other than that the unit was in good condition. We would stay there again.

We love the location of this property. The condo was generally in good condition with the following exceptions: the garbage disposal did not work, the screen door was torn (after contacting management, it was removed but never returned during our visit), the shower curtain in the master suite is missing hooks, the dryer belt squeaks loudly, there is dust under the furniture, and cobwebs. It would be great if this property offered wireless internet. Our main objective for this type of trip is to be close to the gulf and enjoy the beach and balcony so we enjoyed our time at the Palms.

We hope to return next year. The property was so lovely we would enjoy staying in the same location. Just looking at the picture brings back so many wonderful memories! Thank you for a wonderful time!

The stay at The Palms was great. Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the stay. The beach front view was beautiful. The condo was very clean and homey. We look forward to returning next year.

We had such a wonderful time. The room was great. It was very nice and comfortable. The bathtub could have been a little bigger but other than that everything was very great. The view was amazing.

This unit has well thought out furnishings with nice designer touches it is clean and bright and a pleasure to stay in. I coudl not say this about other units that my friends have rented, While teh same floor plan as 305 they looked dingy and unkempt. The Palms is in a great location but lacks ammenities , the pool is tiny, when alone it feels crowded and must have been an afterthought. There is no workout room either. The property is clean and condo 305 is very nice but overall there are better choices in teh siland such a sIsland Princess at similar rates through Brooks and Shorey.

The only problem we had with the room was that there was nowhere to hang wet towels, bathing suits, etc. in the bathrooms. We've stayed in many units at the Palms and they're all this way, so it must be intentional. Other than that everythng was great.

Upon arriving to this unit, we found sand all over the floor, sand in the couch, and sand in the beds. We could not walk around the unit without flops because of the sand. I had to sweep the unit myself. When I cooked I pulled out several dirty dishes. I also had to change light bulbs that were burnt out. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit.

I will never rent again from this management company.I will go back to Resortquest who I have always used. The condo was not as clean as I would have liked for it to have been. The pool was ridiculous it was so small it could only hold a maximum of twenty people and that would be really pushing it. In the pictures on the internet of the pool you can't tell how small it is. I was very misled by that.There were not enough cookware. There was mold around the bathtub in the masterbath and ant's in the kitchen. The noise was ridiculous I didn't sleep because of the noise nor did anyone else with us. I told the property management about this he said why didn't you come tell us. If I was to have reported everything that was wrong with that stay my vacation would have been spent on the phone and dealin with problems. The manager told me on checkout he was sorry to go home and get some rest and come back. That was what I went on vacation for. I won't be back EVER! I will be back to Ft.Walton but will only stay with Resortquest even if it cost more. I will not refer this management company to my friends.

The location was great and the decor was nice. Both toilets leaked. There were numerous ants in the kitchen as well as sand. When the ants were reported to management they explained what they were but didn't offer to resolve the problem. We also complained about the sand which was everywhere, including in the refrigerator, which property management took more than a day to send someone to clean. The maintenance staff that came to look at the toilets were rather rude and hardly acknowledged our presence. The maid that was sent did her best to talk us out of having her clean the kitchen again before entering the unit. We have stayed with Brooks & Shorey numerous times in the past and have always been pleased until this time. We were extremely disappointed not only in the property management but in the subpar service staff they offered us.

We certainly enjoyed and will come back to The Palms. Perfect if you want private, quiet, great views and quick beach access. Free golf, free beach chairs/umbrella. Internet cable did not work but was fixed the day we reported the outage. This property suits us (mid 60s couple).

We loved the condo. It was very clean and comfortable. The view was amazing.

Unit 305 of The Palms is an exceptional Unit. Our family of four stayed in this unit during Spring Break 2007. The views from the dining room, living room, and master suite are exceptional. We watched dolphins swim right from our balcony and from the beach in front of the condo. We enjoyed our stay in 2007 so much that we booked the same unit for Spring Break 2008. We just got back home 3 days ago. We did experience a problem our last trip in connecting the internet. The problem was eventually resolved after waiting four business days for the Cox Communications company to fix the problem. We had planned on using the internet service to take care of buisness matters while we were on vacation however we were unable to access the internet for e-mail, etc. the majority of our stay. Upon contacting the management company about the internet problem we were told to contact Cox Communications directly. We spent four days calling Cox Communications and each day got the run around about fixing the problem. We felt that this is something the management company should have taken care of for us. Overall we were very satisfied with everything and will reserve this property again in the future.

Everything about the trip was very satisfying, the only comments i would have would be that he bathroom was not fully cleaned when we checked into the room, the lock on the master bathroom did not work, and the closet would not stay on track in the master suite. Besides those three little things everything else was about perfect

Directions were a little confusing. We arrive after dark and had trouble locating the property.
