Air conditioning.

I have one complaint about the air conditioning. I did not like the way the thermostat was comtrooled by some one else. It was HOT in the room. The first night was not too bad, but the second night was terrible. I was awakened with a hot sweat. It was soo hot in the room that I had to open the patio door, just to get some relief. I did complain about the temperature to the Borrks and Shorey office. I gave the room high marks for cleaniness and functionality, the heat was just too unbearable. When I return to Okaloosa Island I will be sure to ask for a different hotel.
Honeymoon

We spent our honeymoon at the husband had never seen the ocean or the beach until our wedding and he LOVED it!! We loved sitting on the beach under the cabanas. Our room was the perfect size for us and very bright/cheery. We definitely would recommend this condo to our friends. We are also planning on coming back for our anniversaries.

Great View and Price

The room was a little outdated but had a great view of the Gulf. For the price the room was great with a fully furnished kitchen. The elevator for the building was absurdly slow. Overall, I enjoyed it greatly. I am curious what other places look like and cost in comparison but am satisfied with what I got.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Condo clean and everything in order. We felt like staff closed the pool/hot tub unnecessarily for an approaching storm that didn't reach us until hours later.
Islander beach resort was a wonderful place to stay. This was our first trip to Ft. Walton Beach and it will definately not be our last. The staff at Brooks and Shorey were very courteous and helpful.

Our room was dingy looking and smelled like mildew. The kitchen was very poorly cleaned and the bathroom didnt look much better.

This is the 4th year that we've stayed at the property but we did not like this years condo as much as the last 3 that we have stayed in. Also, the elevator is nightmarishly slow. Overall, though, we always enjoy our stay and plan to come back next year.

The unit itself is a bit on the old side,(torn lampshade, bathroom and shower a little on the rusty side, but overall, a comfortable stay, nice comfy bed, and fantastic beaches. Also, the elevator is EXTREMELY slow. I would still recommend this unit if you are not over picky.

The only can opener was an electric one and I couldn't get it to work. Could have used a slotted spoon for cooking.

This was my very first time visiting Fort Walton Beach and it was such a pleasant surprise! The view of the ocean was the best! The apartment was Wonderful! I had prior reservations at one of the local hotels but after veiwing your property, cancelled the hotel. Nothing could ever compare to the convience of a whole apartment while on vacation! I plan to return very soon!
