Islander 7010

We had a wonderful time at this property. It has an amazing view and the accomidations were outstanding. We are definately coming back again.

It was the coldest year in the 18 years we have been down there.

You did'nt give us warm weather?

Each year wwe talk to Mr. Geise, the owner as he stops in to visit. I mention that a couple of repairs should be made. He fixed them the nextday.

Sofa smell bad need shampoo and need new TV due bad and hard to read closed captioned. Other rest really neat and enjoyed that place too

Very nice place to stay. Very roomy, and comfortable beds. Although the pool was never open at the time posted. Sometimes it would be and hour and a half later.

This resort made my vacation what every vacation should be. Will definitely stay again.

My family has been staying at the Islander with Brookes and Shorey for about 6 or 7 years. We have always been very please with everything. Only once were we upset that the condo we had reserved sold before our stay and we had to change condo's but we were given the penthouse at another location and in the end it was great. This trip was for our vacation and for my son's wedding that took place on the beach 6/27/09 with the reception in the lobby of the Islander that evening. EVERYTHING and EVERYONE was GREAT!!! The employees were awesome. (I will give a shout out to Aaron and I think his name is Jimmy? He is the morning guy!!) The only thing that I was disappointed with was the room. All of the rooms that we have used have been decorated and painted to feel like you were in a top notch place. But the condo 7010 was not. Furniture was looking shabby and the walls need painting and there was alot of greenery that was old and dusty. With us having pictures taken with the bride and groom in these rooms -I was disappointed that it looked so bad. And also the remote to the 3rd bedroom did not work - we changed the batteries and that was not the problem. Also the sliding glass door had a handle that one of the screws was stripped and was just attached by one. The screw kept coming out. And one more thing the tile floors were in bad shape - they were all scratched up with black marks. We look forward to coming back again next year. It would be nice to get some kind of discount with being a frequent visitor!!! It was nice to have a place that for my son and daughter-n-law can come back to and remember having their wedding on the grounds. Thanks for everything! Pam Barnes

wonderful rental...would stay again...only small complaint, the elevators were PAINFULLY slow. that said, highly recommend it!!!

The carpet was obviously worn and the paint was needed refreshed. The overall cleanliness was lacking. The size and location are great, just spruce the unit up again. It would have to undergo a renovation before I would stay there again. The people at Brooks and Shoreyi were kind and helpful. I guess I didn't ask enough questions regarding the upkeep of the unit.

Overall wonderful; few comments:
1. pillows were hard
2. ice maker had no ice -- even after a day it never made much
3. Check in not at condo was inconvenient, particularly since we arrived early and were required to leave by 10am. Would have been great if option of picking up/dropping keys at office was permitted.

WE LOVE TO COME TO FORT WALTON BEACH AND DO SO EVERY YEAR AT THE SAME TIME.

This is the 3rd year we have stayed at a B&S resort in Ft. Walton. We will be back!

WE stayed there last year and don't know that we will come back. Though rules are necessary,we couldn't get to the beach a few times because gate locked after 7:00 am. The worker was a bit rude while at the pool. The pool tags are necessary but my son lost his the first day out in the ocean and my kids were asked to leave the pool a few times without the tag. It was much nicer to be able to check in at hte condo instead of elsewhere. NOt convenient if you needed any thing additional. We never had our internet access and just bought our additional supplies that were supposed to be provided. Too many people over the 4th but that is expected.

We will come back next year!!! What a great vacation.

We did not like having to go to the office and check in and out at another location rather than at the condo unit. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

For the past several years we have tried various locations for our yearly beach location, and found the Islander to be the best. The staff at Brookes and Shores Realty were very friendly and professional. The Islander was close enough to everything that you could look for at the beach, but just far enough away to feel relaxed. The condo itself was spacious and had everything that we needed.

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have rented through Brooks and Shorey Resorts...and the second time we have stayed at the Islander. We usually rent a condo two to three times a year and we have ALWAYS been very pleased. This year we stayed in unit 7010 at the Islander and it was fantastic. Keep up the good work...we will definitely be back.

We would love to bring the family back for a longer vacation in the future.

Our group has several tennis players. That is probably the only negative about the Islander. It's a great condo.
