We really enjoyed our stay at the Isalander, we have stayed here before just not in this unit. Our view was great and the condo overall was nice. My husband said the bed was not as comfortable as when we stayed before, but my little boy loved the big pool and hot tub. Loved the umbrella and chairs. We usually go on the Little Nemo fishing trip; however this time only one person is paid for and the child's ticket is the same price as an adult. We were unaware of this at the time of booking and they stated that we were to be notified that it changed the first of April so that trip that is usually free for 2 people cost $30.00. I had a wonderful time and would reccomend this property. We plan to return in the fall if there is no oil or hurricanes and the lord is willing.

Great Much Needed Vacation

Suite 5006

Back on Suite 4001. When someone makes the reservation they should have it upon arrival. The owners should not just be able to come and go as they please. You are interrupting our vacation. Otherwise they should not rent it out.
Suite 5006 it was nice. Still needs better pillows and the smaller room needs possibly a different mattress. It was clean and nicely decorated.
I left my muddler (crushes the fruit in a mixed drink) there and still needs it sent back. We put it in the dishwasher to be cleaned and forgot to take it out.

Ft. Walton is a great place. It has beautiful condominiums, great, clean beaches, and the traffic isn't crazy! We were able to go to several nice restaurants there, and we got there in a timely manner! It is a well kept secret! We were actually able to take walks every day. You have sidewalks there, and no fears of getting hit by oncoming traffic. It is the ultimate place to stay! Thanks so much!

My family has been coming to the Islander for the last 8 years, and we love it. My children have grown up coming to Okaloosa Island, and they will their bring their children, as well. We have recommended The Islander to multiple friends and family members. I hope that it stays as comfortable and uncrowded-feeling as it currently is!

The property is in a great location. Beautiful view of the gulf and white sand beach from the balcony. Everything you could need was provided for us in this nicely decorated condo. I plan on returning next year.

The only problem that we have with this property is that all of the gates are locked at night and not unlocked until after 9am. We along with other people could not understand this. At one time, there was and altercation between a worker at the pool and another couple that was staying about the gate not being unlocked while clearly the worker at the pool could have unlocked it for them.(This guy said this was his third year and he had nerver had this problem, so please open the gate.) The workers comment to this person was that he did not have time to babysit everybody who wanted to to go in and out of the gate. This was the morning of July 1 2008. In my opinion, I like to go to the beach at first light as did a number of other people that spent lots of money to stay at your property. Just my opinion!!!

My only complaint is with the elevators. In addition to no ventilation in the elevators they are both very, very slow.
