All of our two bedrooms at the Islander Beach Resort feature a full kitchen equipped with all major appliances, dishes, utensils and cookware. The units also have washers and dryers as well as a private patio.

Guests at the Islander Beach Resort have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, in addition to a relaxing outdoor hot tub, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. the kitchen was adequate, the mattresses on the beds were very comfortable. Overall good stay see below for suggestions

the sofa in the living area needs replacing the sofa sleeper is very uncomfortable, consider a tv in the second bedroom. the iron does not work also. the closet in the second bedroom is almost useless to use,due to it's shape, the doors are not attached well. consider rearranging that room to make the closet more accessible for use.

We thought the unit was cold, probably because it is over the garage. Didn't like always having pools of water in the hallways and stairways. We also prefer a unit whose bedroom doors open onto the beach side.

Not What I Expected

My family have stayed at the Islander for many years, but we have always stayed in 2002. 2002 has always been 5 stars in every way. However, in 2007 we could not get 2002 and were given 2008. We were very disappointed in this propery and the one request I made, was not to b put by the pool! Well, that was exactly where we put, Right in the middle of the pool. The property 2008 was abused....looked like the party place. We will be visiting the Islander this summer (AUG 2008) and the only reason we are coming back is because we were able to get 2002. To tell you the truth, if we could not have gotten 2002.....we would have looked for a new resort. I now have cold feet in renting another property from you, because I supposed they we all basically the same, but find out I WAS WRONG. I love the location, the beach, and the comfort of home in 2002. I would recommend 2002 to anyone, but not 2008. Sorry that this is probably not what we wanted to hear...but it is mine honest feelings.
