I have stayed at Emerald Towers West many time and loved everything about it. But this condo was very used. The A/C would not cool the condo. We were offered an alternate room but management didn't leave the key in the lock box as planned. We went without A/C the 1st night there. The pull out couch bed had something rotten all over the plastic cover. The patio furniture could be nicer. There was no outdoor table. And the carpet was dirty and worn.

We have enjoyed staying at the Emerald Towers West for the past several years. It is not as crowded at the beach and quiet. All the staff are very friendly and helpful-from the office staff,housekeeping and the beach staff.

Good Company, Bad Condo

Emerald Tower West 3003 is on a great part of Okaloosa Island. The room is clean and well equipped with a the view is spectacular The people at Brooks and Shorey go out of their way to make your stay the best.

Last year we stayed at Island Princess which was a MUCH nicer property. The unit at Island Princess was nicer, cleaner, etc. Our Emerald Towers West unit was ok-- carpet was old, living room furniture was quite dirty. The problem with Emerald Towers West was that the pool area is in front of the property with no hot tub, etc. The access to the ocean was not as good. Since we could not get a reservation at Island Princess this year we had to settle for Emerald Towers -- would not do that again.

In the High Voltage shed outside the building, there is a motor (or something) that cycles on and off, and can be heard day and night, even in the middle of the building, where my unit was. I wonder if this is functioning properly.
From Vacation to Evacuation

I had originally booked this trip for an end-of-summer/Labor Day weekend trip. I am from the New Orleans area, so I couldn't return home when I was scheduled to check out, because it was the day Hurricane Gustav hit the New Orleans area and we were under a mandatory evacuation order. When I contacted the Brooks and Shorey office to see if I could extend my stay, the people were very helpful, sympathetic, and worked with me. Since Ft. Walton Beach was experiencing tropical storm effects from Gustov, it took away a lot of my "peaceful" beach time, but the two extra days I had to stay had great weather and sort of made up for it! This was my second stay in this particular unit (it's my favorite) and my third stay at Emerald Towers West. It is always wonderful, and well worth the money.

Very Lovely and Most Affordable!

We were very very pleased with our rental this past weekend. We had plenty of room in this one bedroom condo for our family of 5. The bunks were perfect for the boys and the sofa sleeper was our teenager's haven as she had the view of the ocean. Our King size bed was very comfortable. Even when the weather got bad (off and on) we were still in paradise being able to watch the ocean and listen to the thunder. The balcony view is absolutely majestic. At night the stars were so clear as we listened to the ocean ROARING. We will definately be back!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Emerald Towers West. The location was perfect for our family of 4 and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The amenities were great. We loved the beach chair and umbrella service, and we appreciated all of the other amenities as well. My kids had a great time on the dophin cruise and the children's fishing trip.

This was the second time that I had stayed at Emerald Towers West. The gulf view is absolutely gorgeous, unit was in great condition, clean, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. This place is well worth the money, and I'll stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay and have reservations for May 12, 2008. The only real problems were the washing machine was not working and no one came to check it out after we reported it and the video card was turned in when we left, but we were contact

We did not care for the pool to be in the parking lot and not on the beach. The property's elevator was extremely slow and the stairs were far away from our room. Overall the room was fairly clean, but the decor and bathroom were lacking. It was pricey for the accomodations in my opinion.

Overall the accomodations and location were very fitting. I would return again. Management was very helpful when we accidently broke a coffee table top and was replaced quickly. When my wife had checked out there was a glich with what the calander days were for our stay. We were charged an extra day. When I reached management their research proved an error on their part and was told that a refund towards the credit card would take place.
