All of our three-bedroom units at Emerald Towers West feature a fully equipped kitchen with all major appliances, dishes and cookware, (no sofa sleeper in this unit, it has a one-person fold-up cot), washer/dryer, private balcony, and master bedroom with gulf-front view. The third bedroom and bathroom are located in the front of the unit and can be closed off from the rest of the space - a great feature for couples or friends vacationing together.

the celing fans had to be on high or off. they were remote control but the remote did not work. maint. man riged them to work but only high speed. the freezer defrost drain was stopped up and leaked on the floor. otherwise it was great.

The staff at Brooks and Shorey were very friendly. Having the beach chairs set up and ready was a great bonus! We have been staying with the same rental company and same condo for 5 years and will continue!
We enjoyed our stay. Thought the condo a bit pricey. But our trip was decided last minute.

Property needs more rugs. Especially in bedrooms. This would help with sand in the beds. Enjoyed the grills by the pool plus they were very clean!

We had family from England, daughter and family from MS, son and family from SW FL and ourselves and it was a great place to meet. The kids, 1, 2, 3 and 8 had a wonderful time on the beach. We made wonderful memories.

This is our second time to stay in a condo through Brooks and Shorey Resorts. We will certainly be back to stay in one of your many selections of condos!!! We noticed a couple of things that were missing from this past unit. There was no hot mats; to take things out of the oven, there was only one towell/wash cloth for the kitchen, and no 8x8 or 9x13 baking pans. Also the dryer looks to be a fire hazard. (It needs to be pulled out and cleaned!!) If cleaned, it may start working better.
Beyond the minor issues, the stay was wonderful. Thanks!! See you soon!!
Emerald Towers West Vacation

We have been doing business with Brooks and Shorey for well over 30 years. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We have stayed at several of their properties starting out at the "original" Islander and have enjoyed them all. We especially like Emerald Tower West now. The location on Santa Rosa Island is where we enjoy the beach the most. At this location you can take long strolls on the beach in either direction. The rooms are always clean and well equipped. Fort Walton and Brooks and Shorey make a great combination.

We had a wonderful vacation. Relatives from Florida and Louisiana attempt to meet once a year in the area. I celebrated my 50th birthday this year and had a surprise party in my honor. Also, my son and his girlfriend became engaged on the beach our first night at the condo. Wedding is next year. Only suggestion I would make would be to have a curtain on master bath door for additional privacy. I'm really not sure why a door wouldn't have been built on anyway. Thanks again, Debbie M.
Beautiful Updated Unit

The updates were nice in this unit. The glassdoors on the showers were a bit difficult to close, but I think they could work with some slight adjustments. The way this unit was laid out was great for my family. The front bedroom allowed our teen son to close himself off for more privacy. The pool for the unit was the only disappointment. A bit small and needs to have some shade added. Our unit was very clean and quiet. Really, no complaints. Will definitely visit this unit again.

The property was very clean and pleasant but at night there was a constant dripping in the ceiling and the light outside of the twin bedroom was like the sunshine all night long. Other than these problems we had a nice stay.

The floor was dirty, sand everywhere, dust bunnies. I had to vacuum the entire condo. Also the dirty dustpan was on a self in the pantry where I would have put our food but didn't after seeing that. The worst thing was the smoke alarm which went off THREE times the first night of our stay and ruined our night's sleep. We called management the next morning and they were going to send someone out to check the batteries but we never saw the maintenance person. Upon inspecting the alarms, they did NOT have battery backup and it was written on the alarm from the factory that they must be replaced by 2005!!! This is a MAJOR code violation and needs to be addressed. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the condo.
