This converted carriage house is perfect for a casual escape to the beach. No airs or pretenses - just comfortable relaxation and lots of peace and quiet. A world removed from the frenetic party towns found elsewhere in the state, there’s a lot of calm to be found at Dolphin Watch Cottage, as well as in nearby St. Augustine.
A private outdoor entrance is perfectly convenient, though you can enjoy the outside at any time on your ocean-view balcony. Settle on to a long bench seat with day cushions, setting a drink on the side table. Extra chairs provide room for everyone, and a lovely white wooden railing maintains the breeze and keeps pets safe. A few nearby palm trees add further ambiance.
In the living room is yet more casual comfort. An oversized armchair plus a long, cushioned sofa are both lovely spots from which to enjoy TV (or a DVD). Wireless Internet is provided, too! The space has nautical décor amid warm, lacquered wood walls. A ceiling fan sits above, while A/C is provided as well.
The convenience and freedom to self-cater while on vacation can’t be overstated. From a full sized kitchen you can create any meal, snack or cocktail you fancy - never needing to find the local restaurant that serves it. All appliances and cookware are provided. Dine on either your private patio or within the dining area.
Dolphin Watch accommodates up to four guests - great for a couple or two looking to get away, or a small family. The bedroom has a comfy king-sized bed, with a queen sleeper sofa available in the living room. These share a full bath. The master room’s bed has a lovely custom-upholstered headboard - white and blue bedding and accents are perfect for the beach.
Speaking of - the Dolphin Watch cottage generously provides everything you need for the beach. Boogie boards and beach chairs are available, so you can pack lightly.
Decorated in great style to a very high standard, the cottage’s warm furnishings make the most of the sun-lit space. The balcony is lovely to sit out and view the ocean, just slipping off your flip-flops and enjoying a cocktail.
Delight in staying here during the winter months, when the cottage is lovely to return to after an atmospheric beach walk. Within walking distance are a dozen great restaurants, so you’ll never need to taxi home after enjoying a bottle of wine. Kids will love mini-golf, watching fish from the pier and beach volleyball, too. But just steps off the beach the area abounds with shops of collectibles, nautical-themed gifts, resort apparel, beach toys (for all ages), antiques, and unusual souvenirs. The variety of fine restaurants nearby is amazing! There are coffee shops, smoothie bars, and ice cream parlors. Rent mopeds, segways, kayaks, windsurfing gear, boats, jet skis, and more.

All Sea Star Suites have cable/color televisions in both the living area and bedroom, wifi, and private off-street parking.
